The C&MA of New Zealand joins with Alliance Missions world-wide to seek to evangelize people both locally and throughout the world that have not yet heard or received a clear presentation of the Good News. The Alliance always seeks to evangelise among people where there is no home-grown church evangelizing effectively.
One of the key beliefs that are held is that we equip churches established among those unreached people groups with a view to equipping them to evangelize among themselves.
New Zealand Global Outreach
This is currently carried out by our financial support of Roland and Nancy Lumawag – Filipino Missionaries living in Bangkok, Thailand. Currently they head up INTO (INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF THAI OVERSEAS) which is a program for reaching Thai people overseas. (See the latest News from the Lumawag’s following)
Short Term Missions is an important part of our mission thrust also. In the past we have sent several successful teams to Asia. Each financial year a certain amount is set aside in our Missions Budget to subsidise the sending of these teams. For current activity in this area see our home page.
Several of the local C&MA Churches support there own missionaries from time to time. Currently the International Christian Centre gives partial financial support to their members – Adrian and Debbie Wong – who are missionaries in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. Alliance World Fellowship
The C&MANZ are also members of the AWF and reports from the Asia Pacific region and the entire world missions programme are posted on this website.
